The fight against children obesity is extended to Spain.
Since high rates of childhood obesity affect the rest of Europe as well, in early 2006 it was decided to extend the EPODE programme to other European countries. The EPODE approach was adapted in function of each country's cultural, political, institutional and economic particularities. Thus, the programme is known in Spain as Thao.
