The "Wings" programme set up by Caritas Poland offers concrete measures to help children in difficulty

Since 2007, the 75 Carrefour hypermarkets have worked with Caritas on 120 local initiatives with 79 primary schools.
In 2008, the second year of support, 750 children from disadvantaged backgrounds, spread between 79 primary schools, benefited from the "Wings" programme. When we provide support for children, families can overcome initial financial difficulties and children can acquire the knowledge required to succeed in life. At an educational level, the emphasis is placed not only on academic development but also children's physical and emotional upbringing.
To carry on helping children in Poland, the Foundation decided to help more children in 2009. Indeed, the "Wings" programme will benefit 810 children from 80 schools.
