People in need have the same expectations and rights as all consumers: one of PACTE's priorities is to bring in the ways and means to ensure that hygiene regulations were met and product quality was acceptable.

Thanks to the CARREFOUR Foundation, it is able to buy and transport the equipment required to refrigerate and display products.    The four dual-temperature refrigerated trucks mean that the cold chain can be maintained for each and every product.

Goods are mostly collected from warehouses and stores belonging to the CARREFOUR Group, but many manufacturers and hauliers also help with donations.

Over 1,200 families are currently subscribed to these stores, where all food (excluding alcohol) and hygiene products can be found at reduced prices.

Workshops on debt, budgeting for families, cooking, self-esteem etc help families to get back on their feet, and create and discuss their lifestyles.

Food banks also provide a social link.

Since 2006, PACTE 62 has also been an Integration Enterprise, which retrains unemployed people for jobs in sales and logistics.
