Thailand : Thailand: Northern Thailand was affected by heavy rainfall lasting two weeks
Carrefour Thailand and the Carrefour International Foundation launched relief efforts in Thailand on 22 May 2006.
The devastating rainfall that caused major flooding in several provinces of northern Thailand left 30 people dead and affected thousands more.
The King of Thailand launched an urgent appeal for humanitarian aid, to which Carrefour Thailand and the Carrefour International Foundation responded with emergency kits as well as non-perishable food.
