"Cœurs de Champion" is expanding rapidly, to the benefit of hospitalised children
Cœurs de Champion was established on March 5, 2007. This charity club is a combination of three organisations: "Les Blouses Roses", "Un Maillot Pour la Vie" and "Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque", linking the strengths of the Champion network with those of volunteer organisations in a common cause: helping hospitalized children. Their achievements have been many, both as a result of operations set up across all stores and local events held directly by stores (football matches etc). Thanks to Cœurs de Champion, the ever-increasing numbers of volunteers, our customers and Group employees, 28 children with heart conditions have been saved, making a total of 120 children since 2003, the year in which the partnership with "Mecenat Chirurgie Cardiaque" began. Host families have been found (some of whom are Carrefour employees) to support children coming to France for operations. 500 "Blouses Roses" attended training courses to help them be more effective in dealing with hospitalized children. Over 800 children have received visits at snack time from sports stars in regional hospitals, making dreams come true.
