These last months, Carrefour Taiwan took part in two different kinds of solidarity action.

First, last May and June, Carrefour foundation took part in World Environment Day and recruited volunteers: cleaning unit, Carrefour staff, the head of neighbourhood and local residents, to clean up the street and create the beautiful homeland. There were 2398 volunteers cleaning up the street and sweeping up 36mt of garbage. Environmental Protection Department of Government sent the clean unit and garbage car to clear the garbage.

Secondly, Carrefour summer camp came again last July. The summer camp is the most important activity of Carrefour Cultural & Educational Foundation to create sweet family time and improve the relationship between communities and Carrefour. 8,180 people including the head of neighbourhood and local residents participated in this summer camp. They arranged 13 ways to increase the cultural exchange of city and county. "In addition, we arranged for 500 children from single parent families, children with cancer, orphans and disabled children to have fun with those from regular families. Thus, we hope to remind those children to care for the minority groups and those who need help.
