Development of Carrefour Drive in Belgium


Carrefour opens six new Drive pick-up points in February and plans to open 70 in 2018.

As of 31 December 2017, Carrefour customers could choose from any one of 179 pick-up points when they placed orders via Drive on For 2018, Carrefour Belgium is picking up the pace, and has set itself the target of opening 70 new pick-up points by the end of the year.

Since 8 January, not one week has gone by without a new Drive pick-up point coming into service. One of them is on the Corda campus in Hasselt, with five additional Drive pick-up points also commencing operation in January in the Uccle, Gits, Bocholt, Roeselare and Bruges Market stores.

On 5 February, another Drive pick-up point opened, this time in Anderlecht at the brand-new Market store which has just started trading at 721 Chaussée de Ninove.

And five additional Market stores are also set to get Drive pick-up points before the end of the month, in La Louvière, Kortenberg, St Niklaas, Remouchamps and Embourg.

Before the end of 2018, a total of 70 new Drive pick-up points will have been brought into service. By 31 December, there should be a total of 249 pick-up points for all Drive orders placed online at

By increasing this number, Carrefour is demonstrating its desire to massively expand its omnichannel offering for the future.
Thanks to these various distribution channels, Carrefour is providing every customer with the possibility to make their food or non-food purchases whenever and however they want – in physical stores, by picking up their orders from a Drive pick-up point or by having their shopping delivered to their homes.
