Carrefour Spain launches a new Gourmet gastronomic centre in Finestrat


Carrefour is opening a new space in Alicante’s Mercado de Finestrat in which, once again, the company is demonstrating its commitment to creating new commercial concepts to enhance consumers’ purchasing experience. This street market will mean the direct creation of over 50 new jobs and offers a new place to dine, with five reference gourmet spaces from the restaurant sector to choose from. With this innovative experiment, Carrefour is adapting to the lifestyle of a young, urban public who want an exclusive quality product at affordable prices.

The market covers an area of 700m2 and features gastronomic offerings from some of today’s most innovative restaurants such as Shikku, Loca Lolita, Bendita Pizza, De Sabors and Nuestra Barra. All of the products from the different firms are also available for take-away, so they can be enjoyed either in the market itself or at home.  

Top catering companies 

The brands that are present include the ground-breaking Asian cuisine company, Shikku, Alicante’s excellent Japanese restaurant. Italian cuisine is represented by Bendita Pizza, with a varied and original offering including pasta and pizzas. Loca Lolita has a varied and original grilled food menu, including grilled meat and artisan hamburgers.

The Mercado de Finestrat also has an area devoted to fine hand made confectionery produced by De Sabors. With this new opening, the firm is highlighting the importance of procuring high-quality natural products.

The area also includes companies such as Nuestra Barra where customers will be able to chose from a wide range of wheat beers, abbey beers, lager, German and artisan beers... along with a selection of traditionally crafted skewers. 

Investing in gourmet spaces

The Mercado de Finestrat offers consumers long opening hours from 09.00am through to 00.30am and its aim is to become a culinary reference in the area, as well as complementing the services Carrefour offers its customers.

Carrefour is committed to creating innovative concepts with which to surprise the public. In keeping with this objective, the Mercado de Finestrat takes its lead from the gourmet trend begun in Alcobendas and in its supermarket format.
