On 26 April, Carrefour will open its 232nd French hypermarket in Aubervilliers (93) in the “Le Millénaire” Shopping Centre.
This new 4,100 m² point of sale, which sells mostly food items, satisfies the requirements of urban consumers, offering customized, high-quality products and services at competitive prices and making the lives of families and employees who live and work nearby easier.
An urban store organized around 3 main departments
Carrefour Aubervilliers embodies the retailer’s commitment to create customized stores which offer updated products in line with its customers’ specific needs and the store's location. Covering an area of 4,100 m² in the heart of the “Le Millénaire” shopping centre, the store offers a wide range of food products and nearly 20,000 items.
To satisfy its customers' requirements, the store has focused its attention on three main departments: the market area, the health and beauty section and the baby department. In these specialized areas, customers will find a new ergonomic design and a wide selection of products and services at competitive prices.
The market offers an extensive array of fresh products in a 1,000 m² area. Three types of fresh products will take centre stage in a customer-friendly atmosphere: traditional meats and deli products, fish and fruits and vegetables. Among the services offered are ready-made foods which include a large selection of cooked dishes, deli meats and cheeses, grilled items, an oyster seller for ordering seafood dishes, a condiment stand and dried fruit for an appetizer. Carrefour Aubervilliers also offers a wide variety of traditional and specialty breads, including the popular Boule Bio, and the possibility to order cakes and pastries.
In addition, a 500 m² area is dedicated to beauty products just for women. This department features a wide array of makeup and body care products, as well as the retailer’s latest innovative service: the virtual mirror. Once photographed, this station allows the customer to test makeup products directly on her face and select the products that work best for her every time.
Finally, the baby department features food and non-food products in a single area, where young parents can find not only a wide range of baby food and baby formulas, but also diapers, small and large child care products (bottles, strollers, infant car seats, etc.), textiles and baby toys.
With the diversity of its customer base in mind, the store also offers a wide array of products from around the world which range from Asian products to halal and kosher products, an organic section with more than 500 items and snacks for urban customers.
Non-food items address essential day-to-day and household needs and include small appliances, crockery, stationery, cultural and do-it-yourself products. A seasonal section offering special-occasion products, such as back-to-school and other items, will also be available to customers.
Carrefour Aubervilliers also offers convenience, with extended store hours Monday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 11:00 PM and an array of services available to customers: home delivery, self-checkouts, show reservations, financing and insurance solutions under the Carrefour Bank banner, mobile phone shop, photo station... just a few of the solutions that make life easier for its urban customers and save them time.Customer comfort is also a high priority, with wide aisles and low display units.
To guarantee its customers the best quality-price ratio, the store offers thousands of Carrefour brand items available in all departments. The new Carrefour Discount product range rounds out the selection with more than 500 food and non-food items, offering customers high-quality products at hard discount prices. Lastly, the Carrefour loyalty program lets shoppers save money every day on hundreds of Carrefour and national brand products and enjoy exclusive benefits at over 25 partner retailers.
