Appointments to Supervisory Board
Mr. Robert Halley is appointed Honorary president, Mr. Amaury de Sèze is appointed Chairman of the Supervisory Board
Mr. Robert Halley has made known to the Supervisory Board his wish to see his role at Carrefour evolve in line with the recent changes which have taken place with regard the Halley family shareholding. As a result, he has offered to stand down from his position as Chairman and member of the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board would like to thank Mr Robert Halley for his contribution to the development of the company for many years in his executive functions as well as in his role as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board has taken the following decisions unanimously:
• The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Robert Halley as Honorary Chairman of the company. In this role, Mr. Robert Halley will participate in meetings of the Supervisory Board in a consultative role.
• The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Amaury de Sèze, current vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
• The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Jean-Martin Folz as vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
• The Supervisory Board has appointed Mr. Bernard Arnault as a member of the Supervisory Board to replace Mr. Robert Halley.
Following his appointment, Mr. Amaury de Sèze commented: “Carrefour is one of the great French companies and leader in the retail industry. The Supervisory Board is going to work with Mr. Jose Luis Duran, Chairman of the Management Board, to extract all the potential within the group”.

Amaury de SEZE
62 years old
Vice-Chairman of the Supervisory Board since 2006, Amaury de Sèze began his career in 1968 at Bull General Electric. In 1978, he joined the Volvo Group where he held the positions of General Manager, Chairman and Managing Director of Volvo France, Chairman of Volvo Corporate Europe, member of the Executive Committee of the Volvo Group and member of the Renault Volvo Strategic Committee. He joined the Paribas group in 1993 as a member of the Management Board of the Compagnie Financière de Paribas and of the Paribas Bank, in charge of equity holdings and industrial affairs and then as Manager of the Equity Holdings Division of the BNP-Paribas Bank. He was President of PAI Partners from 1998 to October 2007. He is Vice-President of the Power Corporation of Canada since 2008.
