The Carrefour Group, partner to the Employment and Equal Opportunities Train
The Employment and Equal Opportunities Train will be travelling the length and breadth of France between March 17 and 31, 2009. Various partner companies including the Carrefour Group will be offering 15,000 jobs on the “Train-expo™” (a mobile job fair), the only criteria being skills, motivation and merit.
The Carrefour Group has decided to support this initiative and partner it through the presence of its banners: hypermarkets, supermarkets (Champion, Carrefour Market), convenience stores (Shopi, Marché Plus, 8 à Huit, Proxi), discount pricing stores (Ed) and LCM (Logidis Comptoirs Modernes, the Carrefour France Supply Chain logistics entity). Human Resources managers belonging to the Group and its banners will be present to welcome and meet with candidates in the twelve cities hosting the Train-expo*™: Paris Gare de Lyon (March 17), Lille (March 18), Caen (March 19), Nantes (March 21), Bordeaux (March 23), Montpellier (March 24), Marseilles (March 25), Grenoble (March 26), Clermont-Ferrand (March 27), Lyon Perrache (March 28), Strasbourg (March 30), and Paris Gare de l’Est (March 31).
Positions are being offered in stores, warehouses and the Group’s headquarters and will take the form of permanent / fixed term / apprenticeship / vocational training contracts or internships. The main qualities being sought are a liking for contact with customers, a genuine interest in the products being offered for sale, a sound commercial sense and a taste for teamwork.
