Carrefour press release

Following to the European Commission's authorization of the merger between Carrefour and Promodes, it was up to the French government to decide if any dominant positions resulted from the merger in France. The Ministry of the Economy, Finances and Industry has informed the Carrefour Group of its decision. Carrefour has taken note and consequently agreed to transfer or exchange 26 supermarkets and 8 hypermarkets. These transactions should be carried out over the course of the next twelve months. Carrefour further agreed not to submit any new requests for store openings in the areas in question.
