The first phase of the merger between Carrefour and Promodès will be completed the 29th of January, on the occasion of the second integration seminar to be held at the Carrefour's training institute in Sophia Antipolis.

At the end of this important stage, Luc Vandevelde, Promodès' Chairman, will leave his position to join the English group Marks and Spencer.

The new Carrefour's management team will lead the next stage of the integration process.

Léon SALTO, General Manager for France in the new Carrefour will be proposed as Promodès' Chairman.

Luc Vandevelde has declared:
